Lately, I've had the urge to ask random mask-wearers why they are wearing the mask. BTW, I have no problem walking up to total strangers and starting a conversation, which is probably why I have this urge.
I assume it is either because they think it protects them from Covid, think it protects others if they have Covid, or they want to virtue signal.
But I'm torn as to whether or not starting a random convo with a stranger would lead to the person getting irrate or melting down, and if that would be helpful or harmful.
What do you guys think?
I can tell you from experience that every single time I have tried to be rational with a mask wearing individual, it has not gone well. I've tried many different approaches. They just don't want to hear it. Not trying to discourage you, hope you have better luck than I have. I've even mentioned the doctor who put 5 masks on, sealed them around his mouth and breathed on his glasses and fogged them up. (maybe you've seen it) They just refuse to accept it. Best of luck......
I am glad to say I've had a few who took theirs off and were happy to agree with me. Earlier when few had the courage to go without I loudly told them how lovely it was to see their smile. The rest just looked sheepish, they think its the law.
