Mad Max was a documentary, although the fuel in the service stations even sucked from the bottom would run out in days, so the real commodity is food and clean water. In Australia, if the 56% amount having taken the lethal injection is close to being correct, we are looking at 14 million bodies removed from the workforce within 2 years. That's a staggering hit. I expect the global cabal will just ship in workers from China and India. I read today we are 60,000 nurses short because (like my wife) they have to quit rather than take their injection, so the cabal is just fast tracking visas from overseas jabbed workers. Still, all the ferrets died, so importing jabbed workers will just keep the bodies piling up. I can't see how this ends without widespread cannibalism and the breakdown of civilisation. Off to sharpen my knives and practice my bow hunting.
Any redneck knows much of our deals are done with barter and trade even now.Cash is used if necessary, never check or cards. The ability to provide repairs normally purchased from a dealership shop just on cars alone is an enormous business even now. Most items we use in our everyday lives are currently easily replaced. In the current economy, repairs and time awaiting parts are almost more expensive than purchasing a new item. The material and ability to repair items will be a needed skill and product.
I've been reading -- and often believing -- this sort of doom for decades. Yes, it might come to pass, but then a Mad Max world always seems obviously just over the horizon. Climate change or mass starvation or total economic collapse or some other apocalyptic horror is always in vogue. Malthus, Ehrlich, and dozens of other doomsayers have been pushing these ideas forever. Often, biblical prophecy is cited (the approach of year 1,000 was especially scary for those in the West).
Maybe I'm just tired of being afraid of the end of the world, but I'm more apt to trust Trump's promise that "You'll love how this ends" than to think we'll be reduced to living in "a world lit only by fire", as historian William Manchester put it.
Hey Narg, I'm OP on this... sounds like you read as much as I do... re-reading "small is beautiful" atm Schumacher has some commie leanings, but in a moar Gandhi ish kinda way... and it keeps me thinking about the things you can accomplish with smaller capital layouts ..
have heard the sky is falling so many times it does not even bother me any moar...
BUT
They have just doubled the debt and the price of almost all of the raw materials we use have doubled in the last year...
Only a Paul Volcker (ish) interest rate will keep the dollar in demand, and I don't see anyone saying anything but an interest rate bump atm...
AND
I think the people have finally had enough of this shit...
Personally... 15 years ago, I was Paul Revere... these days, it seems like I try to keep everyone from going postal ;)
I think the end is near for this stupidity... I think everyone should have 50 lbs of rice and beans and a good water filter... a gun or 10 and some ammo... but I don't think the revolution will take moar than about 6 weeks and 10K deaths from the new version of Robespierre...
Awesome things are around the corner... gonna be a bit of pain first
Thanks for the great response. Sane conversation with other smart and informed people is a major benefit of this site, at least to me.
I'm thinking that nasty interest rates won't be enough to prevent the dollar's nose-dive this time. Gold convertability? That would skyrocket the dollar price of gold / hugely devalue the dollar in regards AU but MAYBE not tank it as much for everything else, given the habit and structures in place for using the dollar as a medium of exchange. My guess is that Trump has a plan for either rescuing or replacing the dollar, but I've no idea what it might be.
Food, water, self protection -- yep, sounds about right. and I hope your estimate of 6 weeks or less and under 10k casualties turns out to be right also. I'm sure the white hats are aiming for such an outcome (or better) but I'm also sure Team Evil is willing to do horrible things we can barely imagine. It really feels that we're on a knife edge here where things could go either way.
Interesting times. I think the coolest thing is that we have taken "rules for radicals" and turned it against them... and "ridicule is the most effective weapon" plus "make it fun" are what the meme wars are all about... kinda like Happy Gilmore... "Uhh ohh... Happy learned to put!!!"
Saul Alinsky was a much moar effective than Machiavelli or Hobbs could have even imagined...
But those who live by the sword are now gonna die by the sword... and now...
WE are in control...
WE are over false flags...
WE are taking over LOCAL politics... that school board meeting out in Sacramento is habbining everywhere...
All the reading I have ever done is not a drop in the bucket compared to a smart ass remark in bold font on a picture of Biden looking at his watch while the Marines he let get killed were being taken off a plane.
People go overboard "prepping"... I'm way over prepared myself, but these days I try to help others get the basics down...
I am not a big bitcoin guy.. sure some variation of it may be useful in the future... but getting back to solid money OR doing contracts like in "The Wealth of Nations" where you say... this many dollars OR this many bushels of corn OR this many bales of wheat OR which ever is greater of the 3 ... etc may come into fashion again..
Not too worried about the future... as long as we don't give up our guns en mass.
Got one ..damn those farms over in the country Georgia and England are a treasure trove , you pay the farmers to hunt in their fields and they get half of what u find ..my friend comes back with boxes of coins and metals uniform buttons it’s un real .they plow the earth every spring , so new stuff every year ..it’s crazy

Found out Monday foreign workers get the SINO jab or the Russian one and are considered fully vaccinated
Barter is the oldest form of trade known to man. Barter will not be the future. Barter is our past.

Quite a time to be alive.
