Bah! Paywall
Not looking forward to Tuesday when I'll be at a pantry I volunteer at. I'm one of the few white people and the only conservative.
Thank you for your thoughtful post. I am Catholic. We have a long tradition of praying to saints and angels for their intercession before the Throne. When my husband's aortic aneurysm stent gave out, he died in the ER. I shouted Jesus Mary and Joseph! All you Angels, Saints and Holy Helpers! Save him! And they did. In the days following there was a long line of doctors coming to see the man who shouldn't be alive. But I knew full well why he was saved - and how.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
I hope they don't try to take her down.

I am currently using ozempic. In 2014 I was diagnosed with T2D. My PCP was an idiot who recommended surgery to stop production of ghrelin. I did my own research and went on a carnivore / keto diet. I lost 50 lbs quickly, reversed T2D. At the end of 2018 I had a stress induced thalamic stroke but stayed carnivore. In 2022 my husband died of covid. I started eating junk. Some weight retiurned as did T2D. My current PCP put me on Metformin then suggested ozempic mainly to mitigate the recurrence of stroke. My diet has been restored and I monitor my blood sugar to be sure it doesn't go too low. I don't like using it but if it stops a stroke, it's ok. Oh, and when he handed me my first pkg with the warnings, he said here's all the ways it will kill you.
