On the one hand, we see time and again these teachers trying to keep things from the parents so I can see the need for transparency. But I also see how this could slip down the slope of a surveillance state as u/Qanaut says. Frankly, I'm glad my kids have graduated. But it's only a matter of time before they marry and have kids of their own. Tough call. One thing is certain though, this trend of taking back our schools has got to continue
Sounds to me like you just hate/fear cameras for no good reason. Tools are not evil or bad, how they are used can be. Getting rid of the tool doesn't fix the fact that there are evil people who will just find a new tool to abuse. So banning the tool is just a bandaid solution, the actual solution is to solve the evil people problem.
