A) he was being careful. My dad's friend just died to coof at 57. 2 years retired. He had heart problems and they just put him on a ventilator instead of treating him. This guy was in decent shape, he was a k9 officer trained by my dad.
B) 80% of the population is fat. I know everyone on .win thinks they're not fat but statistically, most folks here are fat. If you're fat and over 40 you need to do 2 things. First, quit being a fucking fatass. You only get fat from eating too much. Second, take precautions if you do get sick.
C) there's no black or white here. You can't critical theory everything, the world is a beautiful fucking rainbow, look at all the colors. The response to covid is entirely a hoax. If you don't know a bunch of people who have had the virus yet, you need to actually talk to people. I'm the last person at my factory to "get the coof" (99% sure I had it December 2019) and it is a shitty seasonal illness. The virus is very real and it is going to suck of your idea of being healthy includes medication to treat symptoms instead of fixing your lifestyle and you're fat. I know 1 person personally that got seriously ill, 60s and fat as fuck. My supervisor is 50 and fat, literally only symptom is loss of smell. Everyone else has reported symptoms from "just a cough" to "i felt like absolute shit for a week"
D) he was being cautious. Not everything has a double meaning, dude is a celebrity and they always keep their shit in public view. He got the message out that you can treat the virus successfully. That's a huge win
E) this shouldn't even need to be asked, think for yourself and remember 2019 and earlier. How the fuck did everyone forget there was a world before covid???? If you're young and objectively healthy, let your immune system work. If you're fat, like 80% of the country, you need to pay attention. It used to be that if you had a fever for 3 or more days, that's when you went to a doctor. Not everyone's immune system is the same and those who get their "nutrition" from food that is processed and packaged are going to have a bad time because you're fat and have not been putting NUTRITION into your diet should be extra careful.
If you haven't already at this point, you need to get in shape. I'm 6ft1 190lbs. Flat stomach. If I'm not exercising, I only need 1200 calories A DAY to maintain my weight, days I exercise I need more like 4000 calories. If my tall ass can get by on that much, those of you with guts can too.
Get your food from a garden or farmer's market. If you go into a store to grocery shop and ANYTHING comes in a box or pretty much any center aisle, you're doing it wrong. 1200 calories in veggies and chicken breast will fill you up hard AND give your body the proper micro and ma ro nutrients.
Also, learn logic. Waaaaaaaay too many people conflate their feelings with anything but their feelings. I don't feel women should drive because they're 75% of who I see on their phones and cutting people off but the OBJECTIVE reality is that the dangerous people driving are Young men aged 18 to 24. My feelings on this matter don't represent decades of data that shows reality.
Please folks, get your ass in shape and think LOGICALLY. The future of the republic depends on it
Jumping on here for B, because I've lost about 1 healthy person of weight in the last two years.
If you're having trouble losing weight, go find a real doctor and get help. Don't settle for some dumbass pumping you up on phentermine and fat burners, either. Find one who can tell you WHY IT'S SO HARD TO LOSE WEIGHT. There is a reason your body is signaling you to spiral out of control. There's a whole multitude of potential problems that could be happening. Knowing is half the battle.
You know what the other half is? You. You have to GET OFF YOUR ASS, QUIT MAKING EXCUSES, and GO FIGHT FOR YOURSELF. A good doctor who knows what they're doing can find the underlying problems, and they can maybe make it easier for you to deal with them, but YOU WILL BE THE ONE MAKING THE CHANGES THAT FIX YOU. You are the keeper of your health.
I'll put myself out there. My blood cells didn't work right. Insulin and sugar worked fine, but my cells constantly gave off a "we need sugar" signal. I was hypertensive. My nerves in my stomach were fubar and didn't recognize when I had eaten enough. 3 meds fixed that, and they got cheap per an excellent EO by the real President. Then, my doc said the scariest thing, "Okay, now your turn."
So I made it my turn, in baby steps when I had to. I walked. I ate more meat and figured out what vegetables I liked. I cut down on pizza. I stopped buying ice cream. I deleted my UberEats and DoorDash. I figured out meals I could make easily that had low carbs (lazy cooking is still cooking bruh). Every change took some effort, but those changes became habits, and those habits became a lifestyle that made a better me.
And I went from 415 to 285 in two years. Progress is slow, but it's still going. 4xlt to 2xt. 54x28 to 38x32.
I can hunt again. I can run again. I can go upstairs and talk at the same time again. I can stand without sweating again. I can sleep on my back again. I can fit in normal sized chairs again. It was worth it. It'll be worth it for you, too. Move your ass.
