Nope, Original remington is gone. The parent company, something like cerberus holdings, filed for chapter 7. Hence why remington was parted out in an auction. I know ruger got Marlin out of that. I don't remember who got the ammo part, and I'm really not sure who got Dakota Arms. I think it might be the same shady, apparently Canadian, person who bought the rights to remington firearms. If you try to go to the website it tells you as much by explaining that remington arms and ammo and now two seperate companies. Likewise Marlin's website is basically a bunch of placeholders that explains Ruger bought them at the Remington auction and are setting up tooling in their plants and won't honor any non ruger made Marlin warranties, but directs you to where you can get your remington Marlin warranties honored.
EDIT: Looked it up in some more detail. Apparently Vista Outdoors bought the Ammo Brand, and every firearms related subsidiary except marlin was bought by the same shady company. Including Dakota Arms and Bushmaster. The only firearms portion of the company that got bought by someone else is Marlin, which Ruger bought.
