I feel anxiety too because I have a stressful job. Do I get on anti depressants and cry about it? No. I understand everyone has different tolerance levels for anxiety and depression, but people are simply too weak. Then when people like me say that, I'm the bad guy and "don't understand." People need to take the time to actually think about their life, the position they're in, and realize that they can take steps to mitigate future problems and steps to improve their situation.
It seems like no one thinks like that anymore. Everyone seems to move to escapism. I've noticed that when women get uncomfortable in public, they immediately pull out their phone and stare at it. That's the worst thing possible because now your situational awareness and observation ability is out the window. That's the same mentality people have with depression. Run and hide instead of facing the problem.
