I was talking to the employment lawyer for a major midwest medical (hospital) system and he's basically like "we're going to be firing between 12k - 15k of our staff for not getting the vax out of 45k employees including doctors, pharmacists..."
Rochester Regional Health in NY is about to fire almost 1/2 of their staff, saying the fired will lose their pensions and cannot file for unemployment They are also not going to payout accrued vacation and sick time - and managers are being dicks letting people take their time... "we have to consider coverage". Fuck them and what they are doing.
The other day there was a news story about them (RRH) and URMC are starting a "Clinical Trial" of mRNA vaccines, and are looking for ppl 65 and older to sign up. WTF
I don’t know know how companies are able to operate knowing they will lose so many, the only thing I can think of is they cry to the government and they allow H1B visas to replace all the based employees.

That's like 25% of their workforce gone...
Probably the cleverest ones too!
