This is what I am thinking too, I wouldn't be surprised if Milley was just doing horrible acting and could not give two shits about "white rage" and "understanding it". I think we are supposed to think he is "woke".

Just like Trump said, “ We have some really good generals just not the ones you see on TV”. There are 11 combatants commanders that run the actual military during wartime. The rest is optics/misinformation.
