Maybe it's time to stop attaching reverence and honor to the title of "journalist". With shockingly rare exceptions like Project Veritas, the "imaginary journalistic profession", as Frank Zappa termed it, has done little to deserve such reverence.

Journalism for the past several centuries is mostly weaving false storylines around a thread of actual events, to psychologically manipulate the masses and push a definite agenda. The internet woke the public from their slumber and provides the means for the citizens to be the journalists now, hopefully to get at the truth faster.
