When we talk about actors, look-alikes etc there are compelling reasons for that, but they are not the simplest explanation.
Q always told us about game theory. Moves and counter-moves. We talk about chess and how once there is a position achieved we just have to wait for the moves to play out.
NCSWIC. This really means that we won already - literally. We've had checkmate literally for years and we are just watching the end play out. While things will still happen and we need to be prepped and ready for the fallout, the war itself is already won. It truly is biblical and I thank God for His help.
I'm comfy, anons, but stocked, locked, and ready to rock.
I prefer to think of it more as the closing days of a Great War. The course of the conflict is already decided. Victory is within reach. But a fanatic enemy is still determined to fight until the bitter end and inflict as much pain and misery on the world as possible in a twisted form of vengeance.
Mostly because it helps me sleep at night.
As I find some of the implications from the “Your watching a movie” angle unsettling. One of which being just how much control they had over this “movie”. Their choice of the word movie would indicate a very large level of control. As Movies are pre-planned and ultimately mapped out start to finish. They may not have controlled every “Characters” actions. But they clearly believed themselves to have enough control over the playing field that they could ultimately dictate how the end of the game would go.
Which would then call some of their choices and why “It had to be this way” into question. If they truly had as much control as they claimed.
Alas We can speculate on reasons and motives on why everything ended up how it did until the end of time. Ultimately though. Only a small group of people know accurate concrete information such as the answer to “why?”. And we likely won’t hear anything from them until this affair is wrapped up.
Hell. Maybe not even then. Perhaps they’ll take their secrets to grave. Wouldn’t be the first group to do so.
I sometimes imagine it like the armistice of WWI ... it’s over, the documents have been signed, our victory is a foregone conclusion, but we’re still hunched over in the trenches with the bullets flying and the shells still exploding over us; we’re checking our watches, waiting for that seemingly arbitrary time the generals have decided the guns will stop and everything will go quiet.
Try the book of revelation.
The scenario you’ve described of a defeated enemy making desperate moves in a lost game like a cornered animal, is exactly what the Bible describes.
If that doesn’t make sense you haven’t been properly instructed in rightly dividing the word. “It’s food for thought, and worthy of further investigation.” at the very least. I say this as a relatively recently awakened sleeper who thought he knew what it said, but was, alas completely wrong.
SIT much Brother. Rightly divided 2tim 3:15.
