I thinking people don’t really know what the precipice is all about. Go to the highest building/bridge you can find. Jump up on the railing..seriously jump up there. Move your feet very little, edging closer to the edge. Hanging your toes over the edge. Keep moving outward. Look down to the concrete, or train tracks. Edge out more. Feel your body start to lose balance. Feeling yourself alrdy leaning back out of fear. Now lean slightly forward. Move your feet out more....do you feel like this yet? Wondering how the wind would feel falling. Imagining your death. Would it be instant? Edge out more...how far can you go?
Next to death is the precipice. And personally I haven’t seen anyone feeling like this yet. Or even acting like it. Losing a job? Losing some money? Oh no, I may get yelled and cussed out, how embarrassing. We’re not even close yet.
