I have covid right now. I don't know what it is, but I know it isn't the common cold or flu. This thing is weird. I have never experienced the way it removes taste and smell. Im not stuffed up. I don't have swelling. But I have 0 sense of smell or taste. Its working out for me since now I am eating healthy foods that should taste nasty. Like 2 days ago I ate a big bowl of mushrooms with veggie broth lol. Anyway, at least for me it isn't a big deal, just really annoying. But it is something new. What it actually is, I have no clue.
Same here. I had it in November 2020. Mostly just tired/achy for a few days, but then I lost my sense of taste/smell (without being congested) and it took more than a month to fully return.
Thanks for the timeline, I am a week in and was not sure when I would be getting any smells or taste back. This tastelessness should be made into a weight loss pill.
The more full you get the less you can taste. That would be perfect because I admit that I over-indulge when things are tasty.
