And thats why most people don’t know what usury is.
Jimmy Carter deregulated usury, supposedly because poor people needed more debt.

It's verse 23 actually. Just to clarify for those looking for that particular verse. And it reads: Revelations 18:23 "And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived."
Dang it! You are right! My bad! I'm gonna go edit that! Because I'm not supposed to quote unless I quote it right. But yep! Literally one of my favorite verses right there, next to John 1:1.
