I agree but the truth is we should never have to be in a position to buy our stuff back from the banks.
You buy a house. You make 29 years and 9 months worth of payments on a 30 year mortgage. 3 payments left but an unexpected doctor bill has you missing those payments for 4 months. The bank will take your house and auction it off.
How is that the system and OK? I had this happen to me sort of. Was with a truck and I had only a few payments left. 4 I think on a 5 year loan. I was 3 months behind and they repo'd and it was on the auction block the next day. I was able to get the money to the bank the next morning before it auctioned so I got it back luckily.
Since then I have gotten out of debt 100% and will never be in debt again for any reason.
This is the type of world I want us to continue living in

That system has to end.
Add this in the mix: You pay off everything, lived there all your life and you miss a property tax payment: same result.
Everyone thinks we have private property. We don't. Try not paying property taxes on a property you 100% own.
Yep. Stop paying “property tax” and see how soon you stop “owning” your home.
Just thinking of the words property tax disgusts me
