PSALM 67 For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A psalm. A song.
Theme: Joy comes from spreading the news about God around the world.
Author: Anonymous, possibly written for one of the harvest feasts
1 May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us—[b]. Selah 2 so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations.
3 May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. 4 May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples with equity and guide the nations of the earth. Selah 5 May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you.
6 The land yields its harvest; God, our God, blesses us. 7 May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him.
Study Note:
67:2 Could the psalmist have looked across the years to see the gospel go throughout the earth? This psalm surely speaks of the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), when Jesus commanded that the gospel be taken to all nations. Count yourself among the great crowd of believers worldwide who know the Savior; praise him for his Good News; and share that gospel so that the harvest will be abundant.
Reading this short psalm , I couldn't help but think about the strangeness of the past few years. There truly has been a great awakening worldwide from the events during this time. I think about the drivers of the awakening. My president Trump and Q surely had a part. But to me, God was the director of all, working his plan through all of us, you and me, our leaders, and even the silent enemy's responses. Are we better or worse? Can we live in truth? God's plan is not done. He is still working through us. "The world is watching." "The best is yet to come."
Our heavenly Father, thank you for your work through us. Thanks for keeping us awake and alert. Thanks for bringing out the truth about our elections and perceptions about how our nations are led. Thank you for the idea of Freedom. Help us to achieve true freedom. Most of all, Lord, thank you for the Good News you give to all of us through your Son, "the Way, the Truth, and the Life", In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Have a blessed and honest day.
The beginning verses remind me of the blessing of Aaron...which I am sure David was familiar with...I love when certain phrases are repeated throughout scripture...especially when they are so beautiful and meaningful...thank you...
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. (Num. 6:24-26)
Love that.
