Sorry bro but NewPillow has a valid point - law suits take years, especially class action suits. That's not to say anyone can predict who will win any given law suit, sure it's possible that they acted in a way that not even their own attorneys could predict would bite them in the ass legally, but cases do take a very long time to be resolved and in the mean time, there is no remedy for the Plaintiffs or guarantee that they will win. I work for an attorney so I'm extremely familiar with how slowly the wheels of justice turn. Snails move faster.
What you're saying isn't wrong. It is absolutely against the law to discriminate based on religion. And turning slowly is still turning, yes. The thing about lawsuits is that it has to be proven with evidence in a court of law that a violation occurred. Sometimes it even needs to be proven that such a violation was done intentionally and not inadvertently to prove damages enough to get any real remedy and not just their job reinstated.
And then it will depend on the judge because despite what is written in the law, courts don't always follow it. Just the other day I overheard my boss saying to another attorney in the office, "would you ever want to try an attempted murder in [name]'s court?" The other attorney was like, "oh hell no, that guy would fry." Should it matter who the judge is? No. The facts of the case should matter. But they don't always, and that's the reality, unfortunately. I mean look at what they did to Michael Flynn - once the prosecution withdraws their case, that should be the end of it, but that asshole judge kept it going just to harass Flynn. Still to this day, nothing has been done to that judge for his overreach.
Believe me, I know how disturbing it is. We're supposed to be a nation of equal justice under the law. It's a shitty situation all the way around. People will definitely have to figure out how to feed their families until and if the courts side with them.
