Am I grasping at straws? This Alibaba symbol sure looks a lot like this Satanic double cross.

I'd say yes this time. Take some rest, friend. See nature, talk to good people, pray a lot, and go back to the fight when you're back to 100%

Yes, I know VICE is run by evil propagandists. But sometimes they still do good journalism.
It is the same
Good eye. But, no. This is just a stylized form of the first character 支. Of the last two strokes at the bottom the first is done normally, but continued and made into the second stroke.
Food for thought: there is a book that explores Biblical events and their presence in Chinese characters. A lot is speculative and probably not accurate, but good read regardless.
Yeah. I'd be interested in reading it too. Not really a top priority choice at the moment though.
It's probably a Chinese character. Cross culture symbolism is sometimes just coincidence, especially when you are talking about a language with 50,000 letters. Look and see if you can find what the character means before jumping to conclusions.
Yeah, but we're talking China's equivalent to Amazon.
The Freemasons certainly have their hands all over Alibaba.
They love in your face hidden in plain sight symbols.
It's a Chinese character. Figure out what it means and get back to me.
I am not in any way suggesting that Alibaba is innocent or Freemason free. I have no doubt they are completely evil. But the connection to that symbol may be purely coincidental. Wanting it to be a direct connection doesn't make it so. Find more evidence than a loosely similar symbol.
If it was exactly the same, or even more similar than it is, then I might give it more credence, but its not really that similar. Its equivalent to calling the letter "A" a pyramid symbol, and thus indicative of the Illuminati.
There is a double cross and half an infinity symbol. Saying it isn't similar isn't honest.
But I hear you. It would definitely be better to dig into the etymology and definitions of the characters.
I do not see it being that similar. But I don't speak Chinese.
I am not saying I can't see ANY similarity, but that was why I gave the example of the pyramid and the letter "A". Can you see a pyramid in the letter "A"? Do you think if you put a pyramid and the letter "A" in front of someone who didn't speak a language that used that symbol they would see them as almost the same symbol?
Don't tell me I'm not being honest. I think it is dishonest (not intentionally, but bias confirmation) to see similarities in letter symbols when you don't know the language the letters are written in. Also, to me, the bottom doesn't look anything like an infinity symbol. Then again, I use infinity symbols all the time since I use a lot of math, so I am biased in its use. To me, since I use it all the time, that part of the symbol looks nothing alike.
