I remember in early 70’s when Patty Hearst did her Olympics terror-thing and in school we learned about the Hearst’s & yellow journalism. The narrative back then was how bad yellow journalism was ie LIES IN PRINT. The narrative ended with “well that’s just history and doesn’t happen anymore”. Uuhhh...ok? Next lesson... Little did anyone know (at our young age then) that it was still alive and well and was one of the greatest threats we would face later as adults.
