I have a question. I have shares in an account with an online broker administered with a smartphone app, I guess that there's nothing I can do to stop them trading/lending the shares that I have in my name.

I use freetrade. Initially I opened a Fidelity account in the UK only to find that I couldn't buy individual US stocks so I transferred.
