I believe in Jesus but Christianity is a sham, full of self-righteous prigs who feast on false doctrines, using fear and coercion to gain followers. Little do they know that "God's consequences" are coming for them as well.
No, I have a perfect understanding of Christianity. As far as Catholicism, there are indeed differences in doctrine and practice but the spirit remains the same. The Bible warns us about falsehoods in His name, from the Mother of Harlots (the RCC) to those harlot daughters (denominations of Christianity). You've all been caught up in the lie for so long that you can't see the falsehoods and contradictions before your very eyes. You've been given over to strong delusion because you have no love for the unadulterated truth and you wouldn't still if you knew it.
Think what you will but the consequences are yours to suffer.
Christ follower / Christianity in and of itself is pure and unadulterated.
It becomes perverted by non-biblical practices for whatever their intended purposes draw righteous attention from Christ in an attempt to empower man.
No different than when in the garden of eden satan tempted adam and eve by suggesting that they could be equal and as powerful as God.
True but the Lord came to do the will of the Father and establish the living, breathing church. He didn't come to form Christianity. The Lord is not into organized religion, rites or sectarianism.
Men confuse and confound, bastardizing anything pure or sacred. There is One Lord, One Faith and One baptism but we have hundreds of Biblical translations and thousands of denominations that disagree with one another. How do people not see that something is wrong with that? Paul spoke expressly about divisions, which we see today.
If God was really with these people and places, they wouldn't remain ignorant of such things nor would they gather in the high places.
The only Jesus I've ever known in the church is a facsimile of the genuine God, forged by men into an image of what they perceive God to be. You can be sincere and still have nothing from Him.
Pushed away from the forums for a week or so, but wanted to share that I think we agree regardless of labeling. I have for a long time said denominations are satan's mechanism to counteract unity in Christ. There are righteous disagreements in the church but all are secondary to love for our Lord.
I appreciate your candor. I grew up in an AOG and Pentecostal church, becoming part of the ministry at 14. As I began to research the Bible for myself, I saw clear discrepancies between what the Scriptures said and nominal Christian doctrine. I had questions but the answers given didn't line up with the entirety of Scriptural testimony.
I left by age 19 and haven't looked back. All false religions have shards of truth and Christianity is no different but I wasn't getting the unadulterated truth. Honestly, it took years after leaving the religious systems of men before I really knew anything about God and how he deals with men.
False teachers abound and these places are full of signs and wonders, as you imply, but I know that Satan is a master deceiver and seducing spirits can fool even those who are devout. Amazing things and miracles are not necessarily an indication of Godliness or that He's involved. In fact, the only thing that Satan cannot counterfeit is the cross. He can't go there. It's against his very nature.
That said, it rains on the just and the unjust. I know that God has done amazing things for those who don't believe and still don't after but that doesn't mean they're His.
Some falsehoods as examples:
Eternal torment in Hell.
Satan was once an angel of Heaven.
God approves of Christmas, Easter, etc.
The rapture.
You must go to a church.
You can accept Jesus as Lord and Savior (instantaneous salvation).
Just a few. I know that you'll disagree, which is fine, but I'll be happy to show proof with the Bible itself and Godly logic if you wish.

Sin is Sin. Nothing new under the sun.
