My employer just announced that we have to share our vax status or be terminated. I know many of you have just ignored this request. Are there any resources available to push back on this request?

Are you American? If so, every state has different employment laws. I'm sure every country does, but I have no clue at all about law outside the U.S. In Ohio, where I live, we have what's called "at will" employment, where an employer can fire me for having the wrong color nail polish on if they want to, and there's not shit I can do but file for unemployment. They just can't discriminate against someone for religion, disability, the federally protected classes. In some states, there are more protections, especially with regard to a person's medical information. I would look at the Americans with Disabilities Act to see if it applies in your situation (you don't have to be disabled for it to apply), and maybe call a labor/employment attorney to find out what your rights are. Best of luck to you!
Thank you. Unfortunately, I am in Ohio too.

Have you looked into a religious exemption? Some friends of my family work for MetroHealth hospital as nurses and they are working on that right now. They did say that if it doesn't work, they can go to Cleveland Clinic, apparently they're not mandating the vax at this point.
From my experience, people trying to get on disability encounter a fucking nightmare. Even people who are fully incapacitated are not always able to qualify, and it can take a LONG time even if they do. It seems to largely rely on disabled people not really have a choice but to be patient.
I'm sorry to hear your wife is going through that. Lupus is not an easy disease to deal with.
