PA anon here. This is fake news. The list of alcohol being rationed is basically all champaign and other alcohol no one ever heard of. And it's still 2 bottles per person per day. Nothing to see here other than an antiquated state store policy.
Don't drink.
Here you go. Not sure where it's legal but at least you'll know how. BTW, I'm not really serious. You can go blind or die from bad 'shine, I understand.

Good shine is so fucking good tho.
Good thing I acquired a taste for moonshine during the beginning of the pandemic
They were rationing beer in Australia too. Something about a Co2 shortage which will also affect meat production because it is used in stunning cattle. Can't remember where I read that now.
Sometimes the old ways are the best. Hopefully brewers would be able to switch to the traditional method of carbonating beer through krausening.
You can carbonate anything you want with champagne yeast, which is easily bought online. You won't get a yeasty taste, either, like you would with standard bread/baking yeast.
I've used it to make ginger ale using real ginger root -- much better than the sugar water they sell in the stores -- and with a lot less sugar, to boot. It's ridiculously easy to make, too. Sorry, it's not alcoholic, in case you were hoping. ;-P
