I'm going to hammer you for your claim that this type of reasoning isn't allowed here. What we don't put up with is dooming. What OP did was to think and question. That is excellent and welcomed.

Peruse this thread. You'll see that the "hammering" you so confidently predicted is almost nonexistent.
