I'm planted firmly in cattle/corn country. Yesterday I went looking for horse ivermectin at all the farm businesses. It was all gone - but signs were up at each location: Ivermectin horse paste is NOT for human consumption!
Yeah, it's a pain but they can use alternate versions of dewormer for their animals. Supply and demand is a basic economic principle that so many don't seem to know or understand.
Shortages are a problem in all areas of life. Here in my rural Washington parts, during the 110+ heat wave in June, ice was sold out everywhere. There's a lot of campers in my town who couldn't find ice even 1 hour out, every store was out. I got busy making ice in my freezer for some friends, I gave them out in ziplock bags. I didn't charge them, only joked that it'd be $100 a bag. If I was industrious, I could have charged $10 or $20 or so, tho, to other campers in the area. Took a couple months before ice became readily available again.
My dad (born during the depression) would tell me he couldn't get a bicycle during WW2. All the rubber and steel went to the war effort.

I think they've pulled it from the shelves.
Nebraska.
We've gone from 'killing grandma' to 'killing horses'.
"Just take the vax, you're putting all the horses at risk!"

Sorry fillies, needs must. Whicker at the government.
Horses' Lives Matter - pharma companies must increase horse paste production to protect our four-legged friends/investments!
All my local establishments have a shortage of napkins.
