I’m not sure why after the county refused repeated legal orders to turn over their stuff. They didn’t start kicking in doors and taking it. It was clear the county were guilty of something and trying to hide it.
Playing the legal games for months on end didn’t accomplish much. Suppose you could argue it woke people up and illustrated hypocrisy. But by and large. Most People have come to expect varying amounts of hypocrisy, incompetence, and outright corruption from their Government. Regardless of which side of the aisle your on.
So the question is. What did months of legal bullshit accomplish? Not much. There maybe some long term strategic gain that is relatively unknown to all but the few who are supposed to know.
But as of yet there was no easily discernible gain outside the obvious. And that gain may not even necessarily be a gain. Considering whose in charge of it. But time will ultimately tell whether this amounts to something meaningful or if it’s another in a train of disappointment.
Very often, the delay IS the gain.
