EUA is for drugs that are not approved for human consumption. IVM has been approved for humans for a long time.

That's half true. EUA is for using drugs off-label, or not yet FDA approved, to treat a specific disease when there is no existing available treatment for that disease.

You don't need EUA for off label use. For example HCQ has been off label covid recommended most if this year without an EUA.
