I used to think that too. Then I closed my account, no one ever reached out.

This is 100% true. The reactions to my reasons for closing my FB account were very telling. The most important thing that was revealed through both the fraudulent election and the covid debacle was who I will be able to count on when shit hits the fan. Surprisingly, almost none of my family (except my husband and 2 of my 3 kids) are on my list.
