Fast food and snacks (corn puffs, potato chips, corn chips, pretzels, candy) are at the root of obesity. Back in the 50’s and 60’s there were few fast food joints. Only rarely did one go to McDonalds, and it was considered a treat, exception rather than the rule. Now you see lines at lunch and dinner time at all these places and they are everywhere Taco Bell’s, Wendy’s, McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, Popeye’s, Steak and Shake, Inn Out Burger, Five Guys, Pizza Hut, Dominoes, Papa John’s, etc.). Most of these places were non-existent 50 years ago and so was the level of obesity.

That’s called correlation and not causation buddy. I eat fast food everyday and am in better shape 90% of people I see walking around.
Exactly. I don't eat fast food and I've had weight issues my entire life. I do eat snacks on occasion, but my diet consists mostly of healthy meals.
