Daniel152 is correct. The scripts were run over and over because the logs were set to have a 20mb size limit. By running scripts over and over they filled the log and the system then began to overwrite the older data thereby clearing the log of all info pertaining to the election. Bob Cotton did an excellent job explaining this.
