I work for a major retailer and we have been having lots of shipping delays for merchandise due in for this upcoming holiday season. We can’t be the only ones.

in the gulf the majority of our vessels are oil tankers, LPG, etc.

your biggest container ports are on the west coast which would more explain shortages for retailers
