When I need to search for something with anonymity intact I do it through Epic Privacy Browser, it is free and has built in free VPN's(think it's a option to install extension in the most recent version but could be wrong, it's free VPN in any case) sorted by geo location.

Gives me built up large search engine functionality with privacy intact(small search engines either get data and search services from the large ones(with the issues that entails) and the small ones that don't are usually quite limited in usability.
