Holy crap are you serious?? You sure that's right?? That's a LOT...... I believe the RDA is something like 2,000 IU and every supplement I've seen suggests as recommended intake between 2,000 - 5,000....
50,000 is just......holy crap.
May I ask why so high? What's your docs' reasoning?
Yes I'm positive, reasoning is specific to me and my ability to absorb the d3
From a research study, Based on the antiviral and anticoagulant effects of Vit D, as well as its convenience and safety, we hypothesize that a single dose of 300,000 IU of Vit D can be helpful for the treatment or prevention of COVID-19 (Figure 1). It is very necessary to add Vit D to the ongoing treatment trials, especially in the case that no specific medications are available for the treatment of COVID-19. I personally took 300,000 units. I did not die. My husband took 300,000 units. He did not even get sick, but had Covid.
Wow.....well ok....TIL.....
Crazy......
Did you feel any other side effects from taking that much Vitamin D?
Nausea; anything?
That's usually 50,000 per week, which works out to 7000 IU's a day. It's probably Ok.
He says
"I have been taking 50 thousand ius. Every day for 2 years"
50,000 IU's per day......Seems extremely high.
