Content which climbs up the rising ladder naturally and very fast doesn’t need to be sticky because it’s so far at the top, usually right under the stickies, that people just cannot miss it. Sticky’s tend to be Bombshell data which could potentially get overlooked and buried between new and rising or just fall off the radar, or announcements, or even conversation starters. But, me personally, if I see multiple of the same threads skyrocketing to the top, why bother sticky when I know they won’t be overlooked

Edit: And not that I disagree with the OP about getting a sticky on it - in fact I think the way they went about is just about as well done as could be. Honestly a great template for a respectful sticky request.
