We're used to the Auditorium shots having that dark blue curtain background with the beige carpet.
I'm pretty sure this set was built for biden. I'm not sure why they felt the need to re-do it, other than wanting to make it look more "Presidential".

Like the "switched ears" memes that pop up. Bidens ears are different but they flip images to make it look like he changed.
