My doc always said the most important attribute for a doctor to have (other than competency at the profession) is integrity. Not compassion, not bedside manner, not kindness. Integrity. You have to know you can 100% trust the doctor to do the right thing no matter what. Especially when external forces are pressuring you to compromise. Integrity is largely lost in the profession. Every time I see my doc he looks more weathered then the last, he’s fighting but how long can he hold out before quitting in disgust? I haven’t asked,
