I think if parents really understood where the funding sources of their local school districts came from, they would be shocked. I will give you one example - cell phone towers. I cannot tell you the number of schools I have driven past that have huge towers sitting right on school property next to where children play or participate in sports. Some of them are now upgraded to 5G. I have a high school near where I live that has a huge 5G tower right next to the football stadium that is not too far from the classrooms. These districts are given all kinds of grant money from NGOs and others that allow those entities to have a certain amount of sway with the school boards on the decisions they make - money talks. The districts get a check every month from telecommunications companies for allowing those towers on school property - often with no input from the parents of the children that spend a large part of their day next to those towers.
Like all bloated government, school districts need to be scaled back starting with the administrators that never stepped foot in a classroom. These are the same people that are making the decisions to get their hands on as many revenue streams as possible to continue to support the behemoth they have created. These revenue streams that are sought after are often completely motivated by commercial interests, the data mining of our children, and payoffs for political favors along with monies from state and federal grants that are invested and not spent on the students. They often are making deals with the devil.
Many members on these school boards have no experience with any education other than their own - grown and indoctrinated by our communist cathedrals of higher education. Their qualifications usually come through advanced degrees that do not translate into what is good for our children or our communities. Frankly, I think our school districts would be better run by parents, teachers, and a few good CPAs. These teachers still must be able to think and are not cut out of the same communist mold that higher degrees usually indicate. Just give us good teachers dedicated to their children without all the fancy schmancy sheepskins.
Each communities' parents need to take charge of their own schools. I am glad we are starting to see the shift because mamma and pappa bears are trying to protect their young. But, this is only the beginning. We need to take our schools back and expose the graft and corruption - like getting paid by the CDC. Taking our schools back means that the community needs to be involved with their schools instead of delegating our responsibility off to others because we think that paying our taxes is the end to our responsibilities. School board members are politicians and not educators. How has that worked so far? We are entering a whole new world and we are not returning to what we had before - thank God. But, that means if we want to change things for the better, we must decide what those changes need to be and move towards them. It will take everyone. Thank God for you parents out there and others fighting for our kids.
They are politicians. Between them, the corrupt teacher's unions, centralized state and federal control, our kids don't stand a chance. Like many things, we need to take this back one community at a time. We have let it get out of control by delegating what should have been our responsibility and gave it to others - but, it is not impossible. It is just a matter of whether or not we have the will to change things.

I agree with you regarding administrators. They are killing education.
