I have noticed an explosion of people using the slang "based" in the last month or two with almost infinite usages.
Can anyone explain to me its proper usage, meaning and why the hell every lemming jumps off the same cliff? Is it simply cuz you saw someone else use the term so now you have to be cool too?
Meaning: Someone with good values, not afraid to be politically incorrect and does the right thing, and in general on our side in this fight
Proper Usage: The based professor who refused to grade students on a racial-curve got fired.
I dont think people using this term correctly is the same as all lemmings jumping off the same cliff.
No, it does not make you cool to use the word "based". However it does express what you want to convey very succinctly and is widely understood, especially on our side of this War.
Somone not being fake. They are clearly being themselves and not acting. Some say its being grounded or based on truth
Thank you peeps, though I was being a smart ass, I seriously wanted to know it's logical origins and proper usage. I especially liked the comment by Robyna7 ...it's the opposite of woke... lol
I take it as based in reality and or facts
It's like the opposite of "woke" funny enough. If you're woke you're libtarded and if you're based you're a right wing nazi bigot
I object. Based means that your are not "biased" but rather, you don't give a fuck a out the concequences of telling the truth
That's based
And based to you as well, my fren
Thanks for asking and answering. I thought maybe the word biased got LGBTQ`D.
I read that it's some leftish maybe woman on Twitter used it to mean biased and now it's a way to say "racist in a good way" by certain internet niches, because you're praising their bias while also making fun of some black girl on online
I liked the word and thought it was like the based in "debased." As in opposite of debased. Why don't people say ruthful too, same idea. Like opposite of merciless.
It means based in reality.
I believe it originated with a typo or something of the sort regarding the word "biased". Directed at trump.....vaguely remember it.
Who is lil b?
Roger that
I read somewhere that ‘based’ is from being like a crack junkie and not giving a f#€k but not actually being a junkie. I guess it has morphed into new meaning now though.
Down-to-earth.
