And plus now, he has developed natural immunity to the cancelvirus. He can do whatever he wants, and just say “Eff you, cancelvirus, I’m immune to you. You don’t affect me at all anymore. And you know this. Bitch.”
lol. Yea we love him too. The wife actually started following him after seeing a clip of him on the Voice I think? So when I heard "Up Down" for the first time she was like " Fuck yea ".
Side note. Have you checked out Hardy? He writes a lot of tunes with / for Wallen and others. "SImple" by Florida Georgia Line and "God's Country" by Blake Shelton are a couple examples. He's got his own stuff too, he and Wallen are the top favourites in our house.
Yes, Hardy, both as a songwriter and more recently, a singer, has cranked out some great songs. He's got a few tracks flagged "Explicit" for unnecessary language, which is becoming a tacky and tiresome trend in country music - but otherwise, yes, I'm a fan.
Other country favorites in our household recently are:
Parker McCollum, who has deservedly started getting a lot of play on the radio. He's a real talent.
Ben Johnson, who I don't recall hear on the radio at all, which is a dang shame, as his 2020 album Bring Me Home is full of should-be hits.
Larry Fleet - his new album is great.
Other recent favorites, none of whom I know too much about beyond their recent albums, are Josh Kerr, Jamison Rodgers, Ian Munsick, Logan Mize, Steep Canyon Rangers...
Morgan Wallen is great.
