I think both woke up later in life. They raised in these satanic families and likely graduated from being victims to evil perps. God allowed the scales to fall from their eyes and pray they were truly repentant and saved.

I hope so too ... he was the only real talent that came out of that whole Seattle grunge scene back in the early 90s. He also sang the best James Bond theme song ever.
