But when a hundred thousand people show up in springfield, that gets a little bit of attention. it's more close to home, you feel safer knowing there are people nearby who agree with you. the crowd is less tense from travel, because they havent had to travel as far.
The Big DC rallys are too easy to infiltrate, too easy for assorted douchebags to spare a few men on for false flagging, and they're close enough to langley that there's plausible deniability if an agent gets caught.
