lol...
If 1+1 =2 then 3+1 must equal 2 as well, because at one time 3 was 2 and 1's next number is 2.
Literally your argument. Cope harder. Your math is autistic.
100 people - 87 are vaccinated, 13 are not vaccinated.
If the vaccine worked, 87 should not be in hospital. It should be 13 people in hospital, with maybe a few fringe cases of vaccinated thrown in.
A vaccine, even if its shitty and barely works, should not result in vaccinated people IN hospital. Those people should have some benefit from the vaccine. The 13 people should be the only people in hospital if the vaccine actually worked.
We'll do it again. 100 people. 80 of people are vaccinated. 20 aren't.
40 people are in hospital.
35 (87%) are vaccinated. - 43.75% of 80 people are in hospital.
5 (13%) aren't vaccinated. - 25% of 20 people are in hospital.
It gets even worse if you make it a lesser amount of people "in hospital".
10 in hospital. 87% vaxxed, 13% unvaxxed.
9 vaxxed, 1 unvaxxed.
11.25% is bigger than 5%.
The 13% of the 20% is always going to be lesser than fucking 87% of the 80%.
Sorry but that's fucking awful odds for a vaccine. Almost making the situation worse you could say.
You've been played. Hard.

From the BBC article:
Broken down, the hospital admissions rate for the under 60s is 3.5 times higher for unvaccinated, compared to those vaccinated. It is also 1.9 times greater for those unvaccinated who are over 60 and those who have been vaccinated.
I'm guessing they are trying to point out that the hospitalization is greater, percentage-wise based on the population of that group, for unvaccinated.
As an example:
100 population
80 vaxed
20 unvaxed
20 people in hospital
15 vaxed
5 unvaxed
from hospitalized group:
75% vaxed
25% unvaxed
percentage hospitalized based on that population group:
15/80 = 19% vaxed
5/20 = 25% unvaxed
And just in case anyone is wondering, no I'm not vaxed and don't plan to get vaxed. I believe natural immunity is much better than vaccine immunity, especially with what we're seeing with these new vaccines.
I'm guessing the formatting of my example won't look too good. Not sure how to force blank lines in a comment/post. Feel free to shed some light on that for me if you have the answer.
