My husband is in the same boat. He has until October 15 to comply. Of course he won't, and there are several people he works with that won't. They'e gotten together to discuss strategies, and the illegality of what the company is forcing on their employees. I read the company policy (just put together about a week ago), and it is nothing but dictatorial nonsense. It is unconstitutional, a violation of right to privacy, and has several HIPPA violations. For example, if trying for medical exemption, or religious exemption, they are demanding a full medical history, as well as health care provider contact information. For the religious exemption the demand is for contact information for place of worship, religious leader info, and how long the employee has practiced the religion. The threat includes job loss and loss of accrued time off for non-compliance.
Please tell him & his colleagues to force the company to fire them and to NOT quit....
Best advice I can give is getting entire offices of the company to band together and flat out tell the managers you will not comply and will not quit because of the mandate. They'll change their tune right quick if entire offices will have to shut down.
