It kinda looks like a hydra. Doing a dig about the effects a hydra can have if injected into a human, and I came across this. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3463492/
There's a plethora of information in here that I can't whiteboard together at the moment. Can a talented and smart pede read through this for me? It's hyper related, clearly says plenty about hydras being related to humans in regards to experiments, and that there's reasons to culture large quantities of hydra for viral research.

I read the article, it really is describing the relationship to bacteria colonizing the hydra. Not about hydra colonizing a more complex life form.
Was there anything that could show hydra being used as a transport vessel to get something into humans? They may not need to colonize but rather keep something safe for population.
I didn’t see anything like that in this article, not to say it would be impossible.
