So she suffered clotting (thrombosis) and low platelet count (thrombocytopenia) which means her entire circulatory system was clotting itself due to the shot.

When I looked up those conditions together, everywhere did their best to point out it was extremely rare (tm)

Well, why have I found so many articles about it that are so recent? If it was, as you say, extremely rare, it wouldn't necessitate a storm of medical articles would it?
