The sum of individual digits (digital sum) add up to 9 for all these, by the way:
1+7+1 = 9
9 is significant because everything multiplied by 9 resolves through digital sums back to nine. Part of this aspect of the number 9 is why we only have 9 digits.
Okay, so next...
Take the last digit of all numbers and plot it on a 9-sided polygon:
3-7-1-5-9
Does it make a star? Looks familiar? Why is it a wonky, one-sided star? Think Venus.
1 Praise the LORD, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. 2 For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD.

If you iterate through multiplications of 171 you get:
171, 342, 513, 684, 855, 1026, 1197, 1368, 1539, 1710,...
Digital sums of all these is 9. Precursors are always 18 just before 9. I've found no divergence from this nature in my brief testing.
So 1+1+9+7 = 18 -> 1+8 = 9
That's what I've found so far.
