I'm gonna be completely honest with you ... at first when I started reading your comment my first thought was "F you"...BUT, you are 100% correct. SPOT ON.
I'm going to invoke a WW2 reference from the Ardennes Counteroffensive Operation (Battle of the Bulge). That is an excellent example of the fluidity of battle plans and fog of war. For both sides. Sometimes you don't know what you don't know. You are going to lose assets. In the allied case ... we lost 19000 troops in JUST THAT operation. If you understand that we are at war, which we are, you have to understand that in every battle plan, the enemy "gets a vote". This is true in business as well. When you go on the defensive or offense, your competitor, suppliers, consumers, ENEMY ... their reaction to your actions determines the conduct of battle in the temporal sense. It's Chess. Moves ... Counter moves. The Deep State is not going to idle while the good guys try and conduct 'moral operations'. It goes without saying, they couldn't give a fuck less about 'morality in conflict'. Zero fucks given. That said, we are going to take losses. It's going to happen. It's a fucking war. It sucks, it's painful, it's demoralizing, but it is how wars are waged. Especially now.
We are living in times that will be studied for generations to come. Lets just pray we get to write that history ... as the victors. God is on our side. We will win. But this isn't Hollywood. It's going to be Horrible at times. I don't know for how long, or how destructive, but we will win.
Last comment. George Washington is studied in every military academy in every nation on the planet as the single greatest General when it came to one simple maneuver .... The organized retreat. Remember that Frens ... GEOTUS1 was a master at getting his troops away from crushing defeat by running away ... to fight another day. That worked out pretty good for us.
