The race was ended at 117 laps by the show runners after the poster boy was literally pushed into the lead.

yeah, and I imagine the fans in the stands were either getting restless or had already left. It was obvious who was gonna win when the other drivers walked him to the lead and let him stay there, dude.

He won by forfeit, as surely as if the other drivers had simply walked off the track.
