I like how you distilled down to the playbook that two very different bureaucratic entities used to trap a citizen and leave them no options to fight back.
The Child Protective Services corruption was caused the Clinton's Adoption and Safe Families Act. That's where they started offering state CPS institutions bribes of many thousands per child snatched from parents and put in foster care, so they would be easy prey for pedophiles.
CPS obviously looks for poor families that can't fight back or a make a fuss. In the case you describe, the doctor and the hospital retailiated for the threat of a lawsuit by pointing the corrupt CPS at her. In hindsight, if CPS starts a file on you or your child, move out of that state immediately, because they will not stop, and there is nobody that can help you.
Sorry, the entire website is devoted to exposing corruption in California's Income Tax Agency, which is called the Franchise Tax Board. I guess I need to make what FTB is more self-evident on the home page.
You are so right that once they identify you as a potential victim, the government agencies will not leave you alone.
Not a criticism, just pointing out it isn't obvious what the FTB was. I don't know why your state IRS has Franchise in their name.
To me, the word 'Franchise' is where you own and operate a McDonald's restaurant.
an authorization granted by a government or company to an individual or group enabling them to carry out specified commercial activities, e.g., providing a broadcasting service or acting as an agent for a company's products
I updated the home page to include that FTB is CA's Income Tax Agency. I appreciate the feedback! I am not a trained marketing person, so I only know what needs to be improved when people point things out to me.
I believe that you are correct. My understanding is that the CA constitution does not allow for personal income taxes to be collected by the state, and that the Franchise Tax Board was created to tax businesses. But somehow, they have finagled it so that individuals are considered franchises.
A good article, but I don't what the 'FTB' is.
