I felt like I'd been assaulted when I checked out of my grocery store yesterday and still have PTSD today.
I hate to grocery shop in general. I get my meet from a farm and it seems to be reasonably priced, the quality is good and the meat is safe.
Have a veggie garden. It's fun and we might have to live off of pumpkins for the rest of the year.
"Highest level in a decade"? No. They are the highest ever. I remember buying Pepsi for 10 cents a bottle, with 2 cents for the bottle deposit, and buying a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink for 50 cents at a local place when I was in high school. When I was in school, bread was 10 cents a loaf. Now only the cheapest crap bread is less than $2 a loaf.
The hubs and I have recently gone mostly carnivore and are actually saving on our grocery bill. I buy the family packs of full-fat meats and it lasts the whole week… 1 plain burger for breakfast with coffee and I’m full the whole day. I buy about $80-$100 of meat a week now and look for the yellow tag specials that are close to the sell by date, then make patties or separate chicken thighs and freeze them. We live in the Philly suburbs so we were used to spending $200-300/week on groceries for both of us and the dogs.
Yeah, I don't think any of us expected Biden's policies would raise energy costs worldwide...

And if you want to help them along:
Image file to print out or have custom stickers made.
Stick them on gas pumps, ATMs, bus stops, restroom doors. It should be ubiquitous.
